A Literary Tribute to Muhammad Hamid Ali, by organising a Literary seminar, Bait-Bazi competition, book release and Tamsili Mushaira.
In the seminar, the services of literature lover Muhammad Hamid Ali were remembered.

Under the aegis of Sajid Ali Memorial Committee, Gorakhpur, a leading literary organization of eastern Uttar Pradesh, a literary seminar, Bait-Bazi competition, book release and Tamsili Mushaira was organized in the auditorium of Miyan Saheb Islamia Inter College on September 11, 2025 in the memory of social worker, patron of knowledge and literature and Urdu lover Muhammad Hamid Ali.
The seminar was presided over by Faizabad poet Dr. Urfi Faizabadi, while Assistant Professor of Maulana Azad Urdu National University Dr. Umair Manzar was present as the chief guest.
On this occasion, Shaharnama writer Dr. Ved Prakash Pandey, famous orthopedic specialist Dr. Rehmat Ali, successful businessman of the city Mr. Dilshad, senior journalist of Rampur and former editor of Dainik Rashtriya Sahara Urdu Muzaffarullah Khan, National Secretary of Human Rights Organization Shahab Ahmed and Advocate Sardar Daljit Singh were honored with bouquets, shawls and mementos. The work of conducting the function was done jointly by Mehboob Saeed "Haris" and Muhammad Farukh Jamal.
Sajid Ali Memorial Committee Secretary Mehboob Saeed "Haris" while welcoming the guests said that Sajid Ali Memorial Committee has been making every possible effort for the promotion of Urdu literature for the last five decades. He told that in today's program a literary seminar, Bait-baazi competition, launch of Shri Hamid Ali's book, Baitbaazi competition and children's Mushaira were organized. He said that while on one hand these programs promote literature, on the other hand the new generation which is getting away from Urdu language gets an opportunity to learn and understand Urdu. Our effort is also to preserve this language for the coming generations. Dr. Urfi Faizabadi, who was presiding over the program, said that he has an old relationship with the people of Gorakhpur. He had read the first Mushaira of his life in the Town Hall ground of Gorakhpur. He said that I am very happy to come here, because the kind of literary gathering that has taken place in Gorakhpur is not seen even in big cities.
The chief guest of the program, Assistant Professor of Maulana Azad Urdu National University, Dr. Umair Manzar said that the way children recited poems in the Baiat Baazi competition was worth watching. He said that such competitions develop an understanding of poetry in children. He said that the way Muhammad Hamid Ali Saheb has promoted literature and his efforts for the collection of books are commendable, especially the library he has established in his mansion Gulfashan, which is mentioned from here to Lucknow and other cities.
Sardar Daljit Singh said that we should always support each other with love and unity. He also said that after the flood in Punjab, the way the mosques of Punjab announced to help the flood-affected people is in front of the whole world. The humanity shown by the Muslims of Mewat and the surrounding area is a big lesson for communal elements, especially those who spread hatred.
In the seminar organized by Sajid Ali Memorial Committee, Qazi Tawassul Hussain, Asif Saeed, Qazi Kaleem-ul-Haq, Masroor Jamal, Ahmed Jamal Babuva Bhai, Dr. Rafiullah Beg, Dr. Darkshan Tajwar, Dr. Rushda Qudsia, Muhammad Afrahim, Muhammad Anwar Zia, Shoaib Ahmed, Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, Faizan Sarwar, Ehtesham Afsar, Abdul Baqi Khan Hasil, Dr. Tarannum Hasan, Muhammad Kamil Khan, Ehtesham Siddiqui, Praveen Srivastava, besides other respected writers and intellectuals of the city were present.
