Salim Mohammad Qureshi has been appointed as the District President of Indian Journalist Association, Palghar, Maharashtra.

On the instructions of National President of Indian Journalist Association Jr. Seraj Ahmad Quraishi and recommendation of State President Marathwada Mohammad Tabish, State General Secretary Mirza Shafique Baig has appointed Mr. Salim Mohammad Qureshi, Editor-in-Chief of Maharashtra Today Times, resident of Palghar and Maharashtra In-charge of Chhattisgarh Digest weekly newspaper, as the District President of Palghar, Maharashtra and has expressed hope that by involving all the journalists from city to village in Indian Journalist Association, journalists will continue to fight for the protection of interests and against incidents of harassment.

Salim Mohammad Qureshi said that Indian Journalist Association will work for the unity and integrity of journalists.

 On Salim Mohammad Qureshi being made the District President of Palghar, Syed Zakir Hussain Vidarbha State President, Javed Khan and Shamka Chavan (State Vice Presidents), Vyankatesh Suryavanshi (State General Secretary), Sheikh Shakeel Jalgaon (State Organization Secretary), Anil Khadse (State Secretary), Aamer Khan (District President Jalna), Naresh Anna Shripat (District General Secretary Jalna), Syed Mehboob (District Secretary Jalna), Sheikh Salim (District Vice President Jalna), Irfan Sheikh District President Aurangabad, Rauf Khan, Mubassir Khan, Salim Qureshi, Azim Khan, Jabbar Tandvi, Ganesh Dhangar and other journalists expressed happiness and congratulated him.
