Campaign Launched to Stop Vote Theft
Congress workers urged to spread awareness among people
Jaipur. India’s democracy is based on people’s participation and their right to vote. But the recent incidents that have come to light raise serious questions on the credibility of this system. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi revealed in Parliament that votes are being stolen in a planned manner across the country, while the Election Commission remains silent. This was stated today at a meeting of Congress workers in Jaipur by Dr. Mohammad Shoaib, Secretary of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee. He said the most shocking fact is that a large number of living people have been declared dead and their names removed from the voter list. Families who have been voting for years suddenly found themselves excluded from the list. This situation is not just a technical error but indicates either gross negligence or a conspiracy. The keynote speaker, Dr. Shoaib, said that in a democracy, voting is not only a right but also the identity and dignity of every citizen. If someone’s voting right is snatched away in this manner, it directly violates the spirit of the Constitution. Rahul Gandhi was right in saying that the Election Commission must remain impartial and maintain the trust of the people, but under current circumstances, its role is under question. He further said that the Congress Party has strongly raised this issue both in Parliament and on the streets. Demanding action from the central government and the Election Commission, he said that the names of voters who have been wrongly deleted should be immediately restored, and the entire process should be fairly investigated. Addressing the workers, Dr. Shoaib said “We must remember that a vote is not just a slip of paper, it is the soul of democracy. If public trust is broken, democracy itself will become hollow.”
“Constitution Being Openly Violated in the Country: Dr. Samra”
Former General Secretary of the Rajasthan Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee, Dr. Samra Sultana, strongly condemned the vote theft happening in the country with the collusion of the central government and the Election Commission, calling it an open violation of the Constitution. She appealed to everyone to carry forward Congress national leader Rahul Gandhi’s campaign to every household. At the same time, she urged the public to come forward, spread awareness, and curb incidents of vote theft.
