Indian Journalist Association organized a seminar on Hindi Journalism Day

On the occasion of Hindi Journalism Day, the Indian Journalist Association organized a seminar at its office in Dumriyaganj. The program discussed in detail the values of journalism, the need for unbiased and fearless journalism, the unity of journalists, and the role of journalists in the present times.
The seminar was chaired by IJA Dumriyaganj Tehsil President Rajesh Yadav, while the program was conducted by Devanand Pathak. Many senior and young journalists from the region participated in the program and expressed their views on the glorious history of Hindi journalism and the challenges it faces.
Hashim Rizvi, State Vice President (Purvanchal) of the Indian Journalist Association, who was present as the chief guest, said that journalism is not just a profession but an important mission to serve society and democracy. He said that journalists should discharge their responsibilities with impartiality, integrity, and fearlessness. He urged the journalists present to pledge that all journalists should always remain committed to protecting truth and public interest and never let the honor and dignity of journalism diminish.
Hashim Rizvi said that journalism is facing many challenges today, and at such a time, journalists must work to bring the truth to society while maintaining their ethical values. He said that journalists are the fourth pillar of democracy, and their responsibility is not only to publish or broadcast news, but also to make society aware and accountable.
Addressing the program, IJA District President Krishna Pratap Singh (Babbu) said that unity among journalists is the greatest need of the hour. He said that unless journalists are organized, it will be difficult to protect their rights and dignity. He added that harassment, harassing lawsuits, and various other challenges faced by journalists can only be countered through collective unity and the strength of the organization.
He stated that a strong and vigilant journalist organization not only protects the interests of journalists but also empowers independent and impartial journalism in society. He called on all journalists to strengthen the organization and maintain a spirit of mutual cooperation.
Addressing the seminar, Basti Division spokesperson Vijay Yadav stated that the fundamental purpose of journalism is to serve society and the nation. Journalism highlights social problems and brings public concerns to the attention of the government and administration. He emphasized that journalists should prioritize impartial and factual journalism.
During the program, important topics such as the social role of journalists, media credibility, the changing media landscape, and the safety and rights of journalists were also discussed. The journalists present recalled the first Hindi newspaper, "Udant Martand," published on May 30, 1826, by Pandit Yugal Kishore Shukla, the father of Hindi journalism, and highlighted the glorious journey of Hindi journalism over 200 years.
At the end of the seminar, the journalists reiterated their commitment to impartial, fearless and public interest journalism and resolved to strengthen journalist unity.
On this occasion, IJA's divisional spokesperson Vijay Yadav, district vice president Bhupendra Singh, Pramod Srivastava, Sachchidanand Mishra, Devanand Pathak, Mohammad Ismail, Saif Haider Rizvi, Ganesh Agrahari and a large number of journalists were present.
